Ps3 does work with non-HDMI lcd. Required: -Monitor with DVI input (HDCP Support) -HDMI/DVI cable or HDMI Cable with HDMI to DVI Converter (Cheap) -RCA Phono Female to Male Jack audio or similar (Cheap) What I have: -Monitor: Viewsonic VA 2226w 22" TFT Monitor -HDMI Cable from Game -HDMI to DVI Converter from Currys -RCA Phono Female to Male Jack

@shayorshayorshayor I have the same problem but do you think it work if i get an adapter with dvi – rca ports so I use red white yellow to the converter and plug the dvi on the pc monitor my monitor model is VA1912wb ( if that helps ) and its 19 “

Viewsonic 22″ LCD Monitor VA2226w max resolution is 1680×1050 … u cant be playing at1080. I`ve the exact same monitor which i am planing to upgrade to 24″ full hd, btw, to change from dsub to dvi, all u have to do is press “2″ button on this monitor.
@XxHaThAwAy18xX when turning on your ps3, HOLD the power button untill it beeps a second time. This will reset your display settings. Wait for the screen to appear

If i hook this up where will the sound come from the the monitor itself?
Maybe someone can help me. I have a VX2265wm and I can get the PS3 to connect just fine, and run at 1080p, but the image extends off the right side of the screen, and if I try any other resolution the screen clones itself and gets all fuzzy. For example, at 480p there are 4 tiny versions of the menu sharing the same screen space. The same thing happens if I try to run LittleBigPlanet.
