How do I turn my computer LCD monitor into my TV moniter sans computer?

I'm getting a bigger, better LCD monitor for my compy and I'd like to use the monitor I have to connect to my DVD player and Wii without a computer as the go between. It is not important that I be able to actually watch television as I have neither cable nor network reception.
Any suggestions?
Much thanks in advance!

Many large screen monitors have the necessary AV (or in some cases HDMI) inputs to do this in a pretty straightforward fashion. Otherwise, you really have no choice but to go through your computer using a graphics card with AV inputs or a TV tuner card.
