Well it’s tough not to buy Chinese made items in America, practically everything says “made in china”.. Then to add insult to injury the items will say “designed in new jersey,” to which I will say “thanks for telling me that you sell-out”. But most American companies sell out and manufacturer products in China. I’d not bail out Ford, in particular, as they manufacture american cars in Europe and China. Henry Ford is turning in his grave.
You fool Samsung almost always gives you a free 3 year manufactures warranty! Also, never buy anything form BestBuy and if you must don’t get the BestBuy “protection plan.” As a former GeekSquad Agent I know they aren’t worth it.

Depends on the brand. If it is a Dell, you can press the F8 key (usually it will say LCD/CRT on the key). Each press will move it between displaying on the LCD only, displaying on the CRT only, displaying the same on both, and displaying different things on both. It may take you a few presses to find the right setting. This setting is not saved and you have to press the F8 to get the right screens back everytime you boot the PC.
You can also right click on the Desktop, go into the Properties, and the Settings tab. You can change the secondary and primary montors there. Make the TV the primary and then turn off the secondary (now your LCD). Wzrning: if you boot the laptop without the TV attached, you will lose their settings and the LCD will become primary again.
If you look under the "advanced" setting of the Settings tab, depending on your graphic card, it may include a configuration routine that will allow you to set up a permanent profile to use the TV only if it is attached. But that varies by video card.
If you have an external mouse and keyboard fro your laptop, you can also just close the lid of the laptop. That will shut down the LCD but continue to run on the TV. The use the external mouse and keyboard with the TV.
Several different ideas you can try….
You will probably need to consult HP support since we don't know what monitor you have. Do you have the audio cable plugged in from it to your computer (green end)?

Should work just fine as a monitor. You won't get as much desktop real estate as a higher-resolution monitor, but the text will be nice and big. It's perfect if those are your preferences.

Could be you need to ajust the bands but be very carefull or you could really screw it up,have someone that knows what they are doing give you a hand unless you know cause they are tricky.

believe it or not i have read alot about this problem, im hearing that one should make sure that all speakers and wireless, or wired incoming outgoing devices are a good distance from monitor as they can interfere

For what you are talking about, there really arn't a lot of things that I can think of that would fit for what you want. One I can think of is response time. This will impact the time you have to react to situations in games so the lower the response time the better. I would go for somewhere around 8 milliseconds or lower. Other than that, there really isn't much that fits what you want. Brightness and contrast, stuff like that doesn't really make a difference because they are all about the same and can be adjusted anyway. If you want higher quality go for a DVI monitor instead of VGA, but once again a game will work just as good on VGA so this really isn't a big deal, but is better for the occasional movie.
One thing that you might look at is whether or not the screen is protected with a glass coating. If it is, there will often be a glare where there would not be if you didn't have the glass. If you want to touch the monitor a lot, get the glass, if not, then don't. I have a non glass one and have had no problems except the occasional friend that pokes it and it messes with the color. Just be careful.
Other than these things, I can't think of anything that will be a big deal for gaming. All monitors come with certain resolutions that games support so no big deal here either. I have a basic LCD that I use for games and have no problems with it, everything works great! Basically, pick the monitor you want, it should work good.

thats a tall order.. but.. you would have to install lsomething like two 50 amp breakers fron the MAIN box then run low gage wires to a sub panel box in your out building…. there install another set of breakers equaling 100 amps in the new box… you can continue to slit it from that box with 15 and 20 amp breakers….
but i woulden't do this on my own unless you lived out in the stix or something..
